The more than 120 children killed in the drug war. The dozens more young people arrested on trumped up charges for doing relief work and farming alongside peasants. The hundreds more tagged as “terrorists” for listening to and taking up the struggles of the masses. 

Anakbayan-USA fires back at the Duterte regime: The one destroying our homeland is you. The one destroying the young people of the Philippines is you.

This past weekend, hundreds of Filipino youth across the United States joined the almost 1,500 who mobilized to deliver their own people’s state of the nation address, adding our voice to the tens of thousands more who mobilized in the Philippines. Adding our strength to the tens of millions of workers and peasants—many of them youth—who push back against the policies of the Duterte regime that keep them impoverished and repressed. 

As Duterte threatens to continue his killing spree, we call on all youth to join together in the Duterte Wakasan Na Movement to end his regime, whether through his own resignation, impeachment, ouster, or the defeat of his political heir in the 2022 election. Let us ensure that we can protect our families and our homeland as those in power do everything they can to take them away from us.
