Expose, fight, and reject the U.S.-Marcos II Regime
Ilantad, Labanan, at Itakwil ang Rehimeng U.S.-Marcos
Philippine President Marcos Jr’s fascist regime continues the legacy of his predecessor Duterte, and even that of his dictator father Marcos Sr.
His first year of presidency has been proof enough that the only “unity” brought by the Marcos regime is the unity of the ruling elite and its imperialist masters, a unity that is deadly for the majority of the Filipino people.
The masses bear the brunt of economic policies that largely benefit the rich — from inflation and extremely low wages to union repression, deadly attacks, and regtagging by state armed forces.
Our U.S. government facilitates these fascist and economic attacks by providing military and police aid, and by pushing for trade agreements that benefit the ruling elite here. We play a big role in ending this brutal regime from within the belly of the imperialist beast.
The regime is neglecting its people and we must push back against these attacks! Join us today as we call to expose, fight, and reject President Marcos Jr, and for any resources going to his regime to be redirected to education and social services for people here!
Junk the Anti-Terror Law
On July 3, 2020, Duterte signed into law the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020 (commonly known as the Anti-Terror Law), giving the government sweeping powers to silence dissent by labeling critics as terrorists. The ATL even has provisions covering Filipinos and non-Filipinos overseas. Join us to demand the immediate junking of the ATL, and an end to Duterte’s fascist rule
Take Back Our Education! People First, Not Profit and War
Public education in the U.S. has suffered from decades of failed neoliberal policies. Budget cuts have deteriorated the K-12 system and tuition increases have made higher education unaffordable for working class families and youth. Meanwhile, the U.S. continues to increase its military spending, which only helps to intensify wars of aggression and intervention around the world, including in the Philippines. As a result, a majority of the working people, including youth and students, are funneled toward becoming extremely exploited low wage workers for multinational corporations, or pushed to become expendable soldiers for U.S. imperialism’s military industrial complex.
Justice for Brandon Lee
On August 6, 2019, Brandon Lee survived an assassination attempt by the 54th Infantry Battalion of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in the Cordillera region of the Philippines. Brandon—a U.S. citizen who moved to the Philippines to dedicate his life to serving marginalized communities—was targeted by the government for his work as an environmental and indigenous peoples’ rights activist. Although safely in the U.S. after a mass movement effort helped bring him back, Brandon and his family continue to need support as he is paralyzed from the chest down as a result of the attempted murder. Moreover, the indigenous communities in the Cordilleras that Brandon worked alongside continue to face harassment and economic displacement.
